Wednesday, 19 August 2009 RQ have made an excellent proposal to reorganize their club championship for the Hobie 16 class in the following format Fixed dates that work out at roughly one Saturday a month 12Th September 09 10th October 09 7th November 09 13th February 10 6th March 10 20th March 10 These are all Saturday afternoons with two races back to back You can turn up at 12.00 and be gone by 5.00 if you need to! Uniquely this year RQ is inviting non-members to sail these particular dates for the very reasonable cost of $90 per boat. (Note: - non members are not eligible for championship points) Our goal is to get 12 + Hobies on the start line on those dates, Should be excellent racing with the best fleet around and makes regular quality racing accessible and affordable. Special thanks to Peter Bates, Rob Branch and Suellen Hurling for this initiative, who knows maybe even Branchy will make to each of these dates with a crew in tow!
